Tiger's Art Thread
Well, I'm posting this to get a start on the Art Studio section of the forum.
My digital art on dA is here- http://tiger-in-a-tie.deviantart.com/
My traditional is here- http://tigerpointstudio.deviantart.com/
I love drawing tigers (and all other animals, too) and pointillism.
Can't think of anything else to say, sooo...yeah.

Your pointillism pieces are quite interesting! The bat and the bug one is probably one of my favorites.
I'd like to try doing some pointillism, though I dislike using pens heh.

Thanks Ace! :)
The bat and bug actually only took 3 hours to make (normally it takes at least 8 hours to finish one). It was for my junior year, in the last few weeks of school. My teacher expected us to draw a finished piece in about three weeks. So I chose to do pointillism because I've gotten pretty fast at it. I showed it to him one day, he said to make a few areas darker. I didn't do a thing. Next day showed it to him, got an A. He was a scatterbrained old man. :P
You should give pointillism a try! I find it incredibly relaxing. It's actually pretty easy, too, especially after you've done two or three pieces and really get into it.
I highly recommend Faber-Castell pens. Excellent quality, and they have enough ink to complete at least two pieces, if not more. I like to use either the Fine tip or Super Fine. It's a matter of personal choice. Here at the local sewing store, you can get a set of 4 pens for I think $12, which is totally worth it. It also comes with a brush tip pen, which is very nice for simple, quick sketches. And I also want to mention that other Faber-Castell products are great, too. I love anything of that brand, they have top quality supplies.
